The Answer:

Hello Friend,

I am not too familiar yet with Chrome. But, I have seen this happening on other browsers. Where the browser does not perform the download alone. Generally this happens when a browser uses a download manager plugin or software addition.

Since this is an HTTP download link, and most download manager softwares deal best with FTP, they tend to not download the complete ZIP demo file.

The way around this is to disable your download manager for this one download and just use your browser alone. The browser is built for HTTP traffic and should pull the complete file down well.

But, do let us know if this works. Chrome is a new offering on the horizon and we love to hear how it is progressing.
